And then there was one
Excel 220 in February 2005 (Brian Turner)
The Indian Summer of the Optare Excel in Blackpool appears to be drawing to a close with just one survivor - 225 - following the withdrawal of 220 after service on Friday on expiry of its MOT. 220 is the last of three Excels purchased from Go North East in late 2004. It was the first to enter service on 31 January.
