The Lancastrian Transport Trust has announced a farewell event to Ribble in the Wyre area. Saturday 2nd April marks the end of Stagecoach operation of the 74, 84, 86 and 89 with the closure of its depot at Fleetwood - descended from the take-over of Lawrence Motors by Ribble in 1931. On Monday 4th April Catch 22 Bus will replace the 84 with extended service 22 and new service 24, while on the 3rd April preserved Ribble buses will provide a free preview service.
Bristol RE 366, Bristol VR 1997 and Leyland Atlantean 1805 will provide an hourly service during the afternoon, free of charge and serving all stops en route.
