Stagecoach Changes

Stagecoach will be changing a number of services from 25 March, affecting some of its Fylde Coast routes. The 61 (Blackpool - Wrea Green - Kirkham - Preston) is converted to full low floor operation, this having generally used step entrance buses but recent influxes of Tridents released from the Lake District will allow this change. Buses will now terminate at Corporation Street rather than Cookson St.

Also the 68 (Blackpool - Lytham - Freckleton - Preston) will no longer serve the Chapel Street, Central Drive and Albert Road route it has used since the 2010/1 town centre closures. It will now run via Lytham Road, Promenade, Talbot Square to Market St. However on return it will use the former Zoo service stop on Adelaide Street and then resume the 'diversion' route via Coronation St, Bethesda Square and Chapel Street.

Regrettably the timetable changes for the 68 and Blackpool's recent changes on the 7 and 11 mean that all three buses now depart St. Annes Square for Blackpool within two minutes and the 68 and 11 are closely timed in both directions.

The 84 (Blackpool - Poulton - Thornton - Cleveleys - Fleetwood) will be withdrawn between Blackpool and Poulton except for the subsidised evening and Sunday services.
